Goal for Transition Group Visits to Rising Lights Project
To provide transition-age youth with a meaningful introduction to inclusive community spaces by:
Experiencing a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment that models belonging and respect for diverse abilities.
Engaging in hands-on activities that promote self-expression, collaboration, and personal agency.
Exploring pathways for meaningful opportunities after the exit of Transition services.
Learning about opportunities for continued connection and growth after age 22, including adult programs, community partnerships, and ways to stay involved with Rising Lights Project.
This visit is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster a sense of possibility for life beyond school—while honoring the capacity of Rising Lights staff, space, and participants.
