Our Day Program Supports

  • Adults (18 years old +) impacted by developmental and intellectual disabilities.

  • Adults must be able to manage their own toileting and eating skills independently.

  • Rising Lights Project is not staffed or equipped to provide one-on-one support, manage aggressive behaviors, or address strong medical needs.

Monday Funday

When: Every Monday from 10 am- 1:00 pm.

Location: 2015 Dean Street Unit 5 & Community Field Trips

How much: $25

Lunch: Each week varies

What to expect: Primose Farm, Windy Acres Farm, Funway Bowling, St. Charles Bowl, Charlestowne 18, Fred Astaire Dance Studio,  Illuminate Space, and more.Community Chargers- RLP adult volunteer opportunity, the last Monday of every month

A day of programming focused on physical, nutritional, and mental wellness. Support from local community partners to help us deliver an exciting, interactive day of support, learning and growth!

  • Independence & Life Skills

    Helping individuals build essential daily skills, such as budgeting, cooking, transportation, or personal care, to enhance self-sufficiency.

  • Social & Emotional Well-being

    Encouraging individuals to engage in meaningful interactions, group activities, and peer mentorship to develop and strengthen friendships. Activities could include team-building games, conversation practice, social outings, and community-based events to foster confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging.



  • Community Participation & Advocacy

    Empowering individuals to engage in volunteer work, recreational outings, civic engagement, or leadership roles within their community.


  • Health & Well-being

    Supporting physical and mental wellness through adaptive fitness, nutrition education, and self-care routines.

  • Creative and Recreational Expression

    Fostering personal growth, social connection, and emotional well-being among individuals with disabilities through inclusive creative arts and recreational experiences. This program will empower participants to explore self-expression, build confidence, and engage meaningfully with others in a supportive, accessible environment that celebrates their individuality and talents.

  • Cognitive and Educational Enrichment

    Providing individuals with disabilities opportunities to engage in accessible, meaningful, and intellectually stimulating experiences that strengthen problem-solving, memory, literacy, and critical thinking skills. This program aims to foster lifelong learning, promote independence, and cultivate curiosity through individualized instruction, interactive activities, and inclusive group learning that respects diverse abilities and learning styles.
