How You Can Help
Monday Funday (Adult Day Program)
When: Mondays, 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Where: Tri-City Based Field Trips (examples- Funway, Windy Acres, Geneva Library, Illuminate Spaces, etc)
Why We Need You on Mondays
Each Monday, our Rising Adults head out into the community to explore exciting destinations across the tri-city area—from bowling alleys and nature centers to local cafés and cultural spots. These outings are more than just fun—they’re opportunities for connection, confidence-building, and shared joy.
To keep the momentum going, we need volunteers who can:
Support small groups with kindness and attentiveness
Foster meaningful interactions and inclusive fun while exploring the community
Help ensure everyone feels safe, engaged, and celebrated
Wednesday Club (Adult Day Program)
When: Wednesdays 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Volunteer Shifts 9:30 am- 12:00 pm and 12:00 pm- 2:30 pm (weekly or bi-weekly)
Where: Rising Lights Project Home Base: 2015 Dean Street, St. Charles, IL

Wednesdays at Rising Lights Project are full of energy, creativity, and growth. From STEM experiments and culinary adventures to music, crafts, and life skill development, each session is designed to spark curiosity and strengthen connection. We welcome community guests and guide participants through social-emotional learning, friendship-building, and hands-on fun.
Volunteers help bring these experiences to life by:
Supporting small groups during activities and transitions
Encouraging participation and celebrating each person’s strengths
Helping create a safe, inclusive space where everyone can learn, express, and connect

Outdoor Garden May- November 9:30 am-12:30 pm

Why We Need You on Fridays: Garden Group
Fridays are for digging in—literally and figuratively. Our Garden Group gathers to nurture plants, explore nature, and build life skills through hands-on learning. Whether we’re planting herbs, harvesting vegetables, or creating sensory-friendly garden spaces, every moment is rooted in connection, care, and growth.
Volunteers help cultivate this experience by:
Supporting small groups in gardening tasks and outdoor activities
Encouraging teamwork, communication, and confidence-building
Helping maintain a safe, accessible, and joyful environment for all participants

During the colder months, our Friday gatherings shift indoors—but the energy, creativity, and connection remain just as vibrant. From collaborative games and seasonal crafts to life skill activities and sensory-friendly projects, each session is designed to foster belonging, confidence, and joy.
